Mainz — Germany's Great Wine Capital — is the perfect starting point for discovering VDP wines. Just 40 minutes from Frankfurt, the city offers easy access to outstanding regional VDP wines and a vibrant food culture that pairs beautifully with them.
We start at Mainz Hauptbahnhof — the main train station — and walk to one of the city's most respected wine bars, where you'll receive an introduction to German VDP heritage and enjoy five carefully selected wines from top-classified vineyard sites. Afterwards we continue through the old town to visit a few local highlights, ending with a refreshing beer or soft drink.
